Who Is the Talent Behind Ironroot?

The saying “behind every great man is a great woman” is precisely why I’m able to do what I do. Hi! I’m Rob, and I’m the voice behind Ironroot. Because of my partner’s support, I’m able to balance a variety of jobs, talents, and skills for income and still maintain a healthy household. Additionally, my wife is a professional proofreader and transcriptionist, allowing us to add even more value to the talent pool available to you. When I was a child in the ’80s, I was captivated by the voices behind cartoons and commercials. Who were these people, and what did they look like as they performed? I used to record myself with cassette tapes and mini recorders from Radio Shack. Later, I followed a “safer” path into computing during the .COM boom, leaving my dream of becoming a voice actor behind—until now. I’ve come full circle, dedicating myself to daily practice, training, and continuous learning through books, coaches, and classes.

My professional background spans technology, software development, and data business intelligence. For years, I served as a lead developer and development manager, giving me an acute sense of the corporate world’s challenges—deadlines, expectations, and stress. That experience helps me understand what you need and ensures you get a dependable, professional voiceover service so you can focus on what matters most.

On the personal side, we’re an active family located in Southern Montana that loves to RV, bike, hike, explore, and spend quality time together. Whether it’s a sci-fi show, a walk on the beach, or time with friends, we value connection and creativity.

We also run a couple of YouTube channels where we handle every part of video creation—scripting, filming, editing, and, of course, voiceover. Our videos have reached millions of views, and sometimes people even recognize my voice! It may be just the sound your project needs to stand out. What YouTube Channels do I voice?

I voice a few, but the active channel I voice currently is my own channel Bigfoot Dad Explores Montana. This narration style tends to be more expressive and "in-your-face" (just enough to create a unique brand), but keep in mind that I can do a variety of narration styles depending on the the channel content and mood.

Direct bookings receive a higher level of service, sometimes reflected in rate differences to match that personalized attention.

Conflict Resolution

Sometimes the final delivery may not match expectations, and that’s okay. If we can’t find a satisfactory solution, we’ll usually issue a discount or refund, with the agreement that the voiceover not be used. And if that happens, no hard feelings—perhaps we’ll collaborate again on a better-fit project in the future.
